The pictorial focus is on Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield, Ohio. These gorgeous gardens have recently gone though a complete redesign. I have many fond memories there as I used to teach tai chi classes on the grounds.

Kingwood Center, Mansfield, Ohio & Taking a Respite

...Opening Comments from Bob

This Issue: We returned to Ohio for a brief visit and had a wonderful time visiting family. During the visit we took time to tour Kingwood Center Gardens in nearby Mansfield, Ohio. I could not believe the changes that occurred since its redesign. I hope you enjoy the pictures taken there. The two poems, Signs and Conundrum, speak for themselves. Recently, I also had an opportunity to have lunch with a former student from many years ago. I speak of that event in the vignette.

Two Poems this Month + Bonus

Bonus Poem: This poem is a bit nostalgic and reminds me of simpler times. On Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram I have been running a series of my poems accompanied with an appropriate picture. I will show a favorite in this section each month. This poem first appeared in VOLUME III ISSUE 10 - Sunday, November 28, 2004.

Vignette this Month: Career Joys

The last time I saw Brent Forsgren was when he was in my 5th grade class forty-five years ago at North Elementary School in Galion, OH. For several years we have tried to arrange a time to get together (delayed due to COVID, medical, etc.). It finally happened at lunch in SLC. One of the joys of teaching is learning about what has happened to the young people you had in class. His life has been filled with many successes. What fun it was to see him again and relive some memorable times!
