The resort community of Whangamata is just a few miles away. There is where you would do your shopping and dining out. Patrick and I enjoyed lunch at a small café. I savored vegetarian curried rice. Very good and worth a stop - the owner was very helpful in our search for my friends' home in Onemana. Regrettably, I didn't write down the restaurant's name. It is on the main street.
