A great stop on the way up to observe the Haleakala Crater is this relatively new tourist destination. You can also zipline at Maui’s oldest zipline operation, right next door to the farm. I enjoyed the hour-long farm tour provided by the farm manager. He is a trained biochemist and passionate about his key role on the farm. Even if you are not heavily into tea, the grounds are incredibly beautiful, featuring a gorgeous array of flora in all varieties. Its website equates it to a “Garden of Eden.” All the teas, both herbal and regular, are organic. There is a strong emphasis on sustainability and giving back to the community. I sense that over time, the farm will grow with new visitor options. For now, it is worth a visit to experience this new enterprise. Besides, the teas are mighty tasty.
